Using the Barometer data
In 2014, the university came 6th in the International Student Barometer (ISB) for employability and 5th for the quality of its careers advice from academics.
Since then, the university has strengthened its offering by launching a dedicated Careers and Employability centre to:

Sheffield Hallam University’s employability agenda has resulted in a commitment to involve employers in course design and delivery.
The university works with more than 3,500 businesses to provide student work placements. A further 17,000 mandatory placements are undertaken by nursing, healthcare and teaching students. About 60% of the courses at the university offer integrated practice or work placement opportunities.
The Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey (DLHE) shows that 94% of Sheffield Hallam University undergraduates are in work or further study within six months of graduation.
